I have been building, maintaining, repairing and upgrading computers and server systems for over 13 years.

Service Details

We will be able to help you through all your computer related issues.  We pride ourselves in same-day repair of home and small business computer servers and systems, engineer appointments can normally be arranged within two hours or anytime that suits you.

We come to you

The majority of our repairs are carried out at your home or business.  When a repair needs further investigation or specialist equipment to diagnose we will collect your equipment and take it to our workshop for diagnosis and if agreed repair.

Fast response times

If you contact us before 11am we are normally able to arrange a visit the same day.

Free estimates

We offer free estimates, but please bear in mind you can save yourself time by choosing us. As you’ll be hard pressed to find an offering for the same service.

No call out charges

We do not charge a call out fee if you are within 15 miles of Gateshead, just a flat rate per hour for labour.  Any replacement parts required for repairs will be agreed upon before any work begins and there are no hidden charges.

Cost price parts

If any parts are required to repair your equipment, we will source the best parts for you and only charge what it cost us to acquire them.

Evening & weekend visits

Appointments are available over weekends and in the evenings, this way we can visit at a time that is most convenient to you.

No fix – no fee

If we are unable to diagnose the fault with your computer, either at your home or business premises or ours, then there will be no charges.  If we are able to offer a repair option, but you refuse, then the charge of £30 will remain payable for the diagnosis.

We can repair any PC or laptop computer built by any of the major brands as well as custom built desktop and tower PCs.

Free independent advice

We’re very knowledgeable about all things technology related, ask us about a particular technology product or service and we’ll happy to impart advice related to the most important factors to you.

60 day guarantee

Any parts replaced will be covered by a manufacturers warranty of at least 60 days but up to 3 years in some cases, while any work carried out fitting and setting it up is covered by our 60 day guarantee.

Desktop screen went off .
Graham came to look at my computer at a time that suited me, he replied to my call very promptly, even after the job was completed . I needed some advice, as to the downloading on the upgrades and he replied on a Sunday, whereas other companies I would need to wait until the Monday. Graham very thoroughly did a complicated job that had to go to the workshop for repair and brought it back within the promised time. He is a nice friendly person who knows exactly what he is doing.

Problems with two laptops.
One laptop was overheating and one would not access certain secure sites due to data conflicts. Graham (who incidentally,is a very nice, approachable, down-to-earth guy) rapidly identified the cause of both problems and rectified them at a very reasonable price. Most impressive. Unable to switch on PC tower.
Customer service was great. Ian turned up on time, diagnosed the problem then took the tower away saying it would be ready the next day. He said he would keep in contact, which he did and true to his word,the tower was returned within 24 hrs. Cannot fault him at all and would recommend him completely. Laptop casing and screen repair.
Brilliant service. Graham presented his availability immediately and was very flexible. He was friendly and professional through the entire process. Moving all components from one PC case to another and installing a new graphics card.
After buying a new graphics card and PC case, I was looking for someone who could move all of my old components (except for the GPU) to the new case. Fortunately, I learned about a local business called "Walker IT Support" which seemed to offer just the services that I needed - and they work all week, from 8:00 till 20:00! Graham arrived on time and was very professional, though he did run into some trouble with the work. This was mostly due to the fact that my old PC was pre-built and everything was really cramped in there, including a villainously placed optical disc drive. With a little bit of help, Graham finished the job in almost 2 hours. This took longer than expected, but there was always that possibility and I was made aware of this beforehand. Unfortunately, it turned out that the job wasn't actually 100% finished when Graham left (there were still a few connectors left undone). However, upon being informed of this, he ensured customer satisfaction by completing everything that was left to do on very short notice and at no extra cost. This was a relief, considering that the service already cost £50. Overall, Walker IT Support is a trustworthy company with plenty of experience in the field. It's a great choice for anyone who lives in the area and needs something tech-related done fast. I highly recommend them. Practically the only disappointment I had with the company was its fairly high prices.

Replaceable Laptop Screen and diagnostics on crashing PC.
I found Graham on the Checked and Vetted site and picked him as his feedback was excellent. Graham is absolutely the most helpful and knowledgeable IT expert. I called him about 10 days ago and he explained it would take a while for the screen to come in as it is an obscure make. He came round to my house and fixed it on the day and EXACT time promised and you would NEVER know that the screen had ever been smashed. unable to link new printer to established computer system.
I had struggled for 4 days to access printer despite instructions from company who supplied. No joy. Phoned Walker IT , Graham came same day in time frame promised and sorted it . Laptop screen was blank and not responding- cable linking laptop to screen had been pulled out, so was loosened.
Really good job, showed up on time, did the job there and then and even though it needed to be refixed, laptop was taken away and returned the next day without any additional choice. Made the process stress free as I have never needed to use IT support before .

Set up various devices.

Removal of malware and pop-up adds.
I had been bothered by pop-up adverts and 'links' on web pages. I had tried various processes and programs to remove the problem without much success. Walker IT Support cleaned out the problem using remote access. It took 60 mins to complete the task. Everything is fine now. Great job Graham.

BROKEN PC, NOT POWERING UP.

Unable to connect a new printer to my laptop (wifi).

I had numerous problems with both my PC and a new Kindle Fire pad. I wanted Walker IT to fix the various problems and to set up my Kindle with various apps.
Graham Walker arrived very punctually and began straight away. He encountered major problems from the outset and, finally, left after over three hours, having solved some of the problems but not all. As he hadn't resolved all of my issues, he significantly reduced his fee. After he had left, many of the original problems returned and I e-mailed Graham in the evening. His response was "Don't worry, I won't leave the job until you are satisfied; can I call around tomorrow?". Graham did call the next day (bang on time) and he had, clearly, spent some time researching the problems as he managed to correct all of the issues as well as adding a few extra things onto my Kindle. Graham offered to waive any fee as his work of the previous day had not been, largely, successful (I paid him anyway!). To me, it doesn't matter that Graham couldn't resolve the issues first time around; what matters is that he didn't leave a client in the lurch and he did, indeed, keep at it until all of the problems were resolved. Furthermore, Graham was very pleasant and patient with me, as a complete IT 'numpty' and I appreciated is attitude very much. I was impressed and would, certainly, use Walker IT again.

Conflict between Windows Security and Kaspersky on my PC.
Mr. Walker gave me an immediate sense of 'Safe Hands'. I am quite old (67) and he explained things to me in terms that I readily understood and without talking down to me. I experienced a sense of confidence in what he was doing. Hes my weapon of choice for all PC problems.
