Here in the North East we live in the worst affected area in the UK for Rogue Traders, so you need to find a reputable trader who wants to be accountable for their work. So how do you go about that?

We don’t need to worry you, we are all fully aware of the challenges of calling unchecked traders – shoddy workmanship; projects running over time and over budget. So before you invite someone into your home these following steps should keep you safer:

  • Get recommendations from people you trust e.g. word of mouth
  • Research local businesses and prepare a supplier shortlist
  • Check out all references and speak to their previous customers if possible
  • Review examples of their work
  • Send out lots of emails or make lots of phone calls asking for quotes
  • Review the quotes, meet with your shortlist and make your decision
Gosh! It all sounds very time consuming doesn’t it?

That’s where Checked and Vetted steps in – we do all that research and checking for you!

Checked and Vetted is where you can get information on vetted, reviewed and qualified traders. You can check out their Company overviews, click through to their websites, see a gallery of their work and read feedback from their recent customers (All verified by us).
